Shortly before his untimely death, Greg L. Bahnsen completed a major work he had begun years earlier in the interest of promoting an understanding of Cornelieus Van Til's apologetic. In this substantial volume, Bahnsen has gathered the primary passages on apologetics from the vast body of works by Van Til, arranged them topically, and added incisive commentary and analysis. The result is a carefully organized digest of all that Van Til taught about apologetics-in effect, an anthology of his most fertile passages, with running exposition by Bahnsen. Although over the years most of Van Til's works have gone out of print, students of apologetics can now find the best of Van Til in this one volume, and in a systematic arrangement more accessible than his many separate and loosely structured books. Bahnsen has done the church a monumental service in helping to preserve the legacy of Van Til in this form. Students, pastors, and all who are interested in an uncompromisingly biblical method of defending Christianity will find wisdom and clear direction in these pages. (hard cover)
